Are the exams still offered only in April and October? No. Exams are offered five days a week, 12 months of the year. Check with Pearson Vue for holiday closings.
How will I register to take a computer based exam? You will register directly with NCEES.
What exams will be administered as a computer based exam? The Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and the Fundamentals of Surveying Exam (FS) have been converted to computer based exams. Beginning in October 2016, the PS exam will also be administered as a computer based exam.
What if I am not successful on my first attempt? When can I take the exam again? If approved, you will be permitted to take an exam three times in a calendar year; however, you can only take an exam one time in an exam window. An exam window is 3 months: January – March; April – June; July – September; October - December.
Where will the computer based exams be administered? NCEES has partnered with Pearson Vue. Louisiana will have 3 locations: Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Shreveport. Click here.
