Professional Land Surveyor by Exam (First PLS Licensure) - ASAC Geomatics degree Pass the NCEES FS (you may sit for the NCEES PLS exam with an active LAPELS LSI) Pass the oral/mentoring interview Pass the Louisiana Laws of Surveying Exam Obtain 4 years of acceptable/verified progressive surveying experience - please see Rule 1515.B, 1517.B, and 1519.B. for more information Obtain 5 Personal References of which 3 must have an active PLS license Licensure after notifying LAPELS of a passing PLS score and all of the above
