INTERN CERTIFICATION APPLICATIONS
IMPORTANT: If your only degree is an Engineering Technology degree, you are NOT eligible for PE licensure in Louisiana, and you should not submit an application. This is a state law which neither the Board staff nor Board members may waive. We do not issue refunds for application fees.

ENGINEER INTERNS
EAC/ABET BS degree Pass the NCEES FE exam Earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited program Obtain a recommendation by an PE with an active Licensure Have both of the above verified through NCCES before applying for Certification as an Engineering Intern	Non-EAC/ABET BS engineering degree Must obtain an NCEES Credential Evaluation before applying Pass the NCEES FE Exam Obtain a recommendation by a PE with an active PE License Obtain 4 years of acceptable/verified progressive engineering experience	Non-EAC/ABET BS degree in related science leveled and coupled with a MS degree from a university with an EAC/ABET undergrad program in the same discipline Earn a bachelor’s degree from a NON- EAC/ABET accredited program Earn a MS engineering degree from a university with an EAC/ABET undergraduate program in the same discipline Must obtain an NCEES Credential Evaluation before applying Obtain a recommendation by an PE with an active Licensure Have both of the above must be verified through NCCES before applying for Certification as an Engineering Intern

LAND SURVEYOR INTERNS
ASAC Geomatics degree Pass the NCEES FS exam Earn a bachelor’s degree in Geomatics from an ASAC accredited program. Obtain a recommendation by an PLS with an active PLS License	With a 4 year BS degree Pass the NCEES FS exam Earn a 4 year BS degree plus 30 hours of Board approved surveying courses Obtain a recommendation by a PLS with an active PLS License
